The Global Business Dialogue on e-Society (GBDe) is a worldwide, CEO-led, business initiative, established in January 1999 by seventeen Internet, media and telecommunications companies to assist the development of a global policy framework for the emerging online economy. GBDe began actively promoting a private sector/government dialogue on convergence-related issues in 2001. The organization no longer appears to be active.
