Atmosphere pits are Covenant structures filled with Methane which allows Unggoy to have a space to live without being attached to the air tanks on their suits. Unlike the similar Methane Tank, the atmosphere pit is a dome-shaped tent made from a flimsy white material, allowing the pit to be easily erected and collapsed.
