Midrange is a mundane cat with light colored fur. He was the pet of David Baldwin who gained almost human intelligence while in Xanth the first time. He and the Baldwin family helped save Xanth from overexposure of magic dust by containing Happy Bottom after being stranded there. Midrange migrated to Xanth permanently when he got old with Woofer and Tweeter. He helped locate and now works at Caprice Castle with Picka Bone and Dawn collecting puns. He met and is now mated with Erin Kitty Litter.
