Loki Station was the main United Europe facility on Io during the early 21st Century. Due to rising hostilities between the Union and Japan, the inhabitants elected to mount anti-missile missiles around the station. This proved to be a wise decision as the Japanese launched a surprise attack on Io which destroyed the unarmed Sengen Base but left Loki Station undamaged. At the time, the commandant of Loki Station was Jacques Guizot.
