McLeod Syndrome is a genetic disease where the gene that codes for the proteins on the surfaces of red blood cells is faulty. It eventually leads to difficulties with the blood, brain, peripheral nerves, muscles and/or heart. There is no treatment or cure for McLeod Syndrome. Patients are treated according to their symptoms and may be given palliative care.
