The S.T.A.R.S. Texas Branch is the division of the Special Tactics And Rescue Service based in the State of Texas, with at least one unit present. When the Umbrella Corporation took over the S.T.A.R.S. leadership in 1998, Texas was still in contact with Jill Valentine, from Pennsylvania's Raccoon City team when she, Chris and Barry arrived in Austria looking for Umbrella's headquarters. The renegade S.T.A.R.S. force led by David Trapp lost contact with them soon after.
