Starbase 424 is a Federation starbase on the outer reaches of the Alpha Quadrant. Originally built by the eccentric Ionescan businessman Antathon Dilevu, the station was sold to the Federation after Dilevu grew too old and decrepit to continue managing it himself (though he still maintains the right to "give input" into its management.) Currently, the station is being renovated to bring it up to Federation standards.
