Ruth Pointer (born March 19, 1946) is an American singer who provided the singing voice of Rita in Disney's 1988 animated film, Oliver and Company. In the film, she performs the song: "Streets of Gold". Pointer is best known as the eldest member of the popular music group, The Pointer Sisters.
