Jodo was the fore-elf in charge of the numerous work gangs of house-elf slaves used by the Hogwarts founders to construct their school. It was his job to interpert the order of Lotho Needham and how the workers should carry them out. At the peak of his responsibility, Jodo was responsible for thousands of worker and artisan house-elves and with a word could have one beaten or executed by his bashers. Jodo was highly praised for his efficiency by the Hogwarts founders and his likeness was used in the Fountain of Magical Brethren, which stood in the Ministry of Magic.
