The Pokémon Pancake Race is a competition held on Melemele Island in the Alola region. It is a relay race the involves trainers and their Pokémon to carry a plate stacked with pancakes across the border of the island. In the first section of the race, the trainer must carry the pancakes towards the first stop. In the first stop of the race, the trainers give their Pokémon the pancakes and pull them up to the second stop with a wagon. Then in the second stop, the Pokémon takes the pancakes and race towards the finish line. Whoever crosses the finish line without dropping the pancakes is the winner. The prize for the winner is an All-You-Can-Eat supply of pancakes for a year.
