When Daniel was young, he sought to become an apprentice in the Wizards' Tower of southern Misthalin. After eventually being accepted, he was sent on a simple task outside the Tower. On his way to Draynor Village, however, he was attacked by a small party of goblins that stole his possessions, amongst them his rune supply. Because the rune supply in the human kingdoms was so low at the time, Daniel was not permitted re-admittance. Daniel was killed in the Assault on Sigmund's Base by the goblin High Priest.
