Maggie Vega is the wife of the murder victim Cano Vega in episode "Suicide Squeeze". Maggie says that Cano was recently in his native Cuba, where Fidel Castro personally shook hands. On his return, many fans denounced him for it. Later, the detectives considered whether Maggie has killed her husband out of jealousy. This denies this, but admits that it was aware of the affair. After Fox was identified as Cano's murder, the team explained Lara's history to Maggie, who accepted Lara as family, even going so far as to greet and welcome her in somewhat stilted Spanish.
