Baronia was first fully described in The Carnivore Curse, when the crew of The Sauropod escort the sellosaurus doctor Doctor Herdlip to the planet so that he can cure the peaceful baryonyx king, King Jeck, who has taken ill with Ribchomper's Mump Bumps. In the book, Baronia is described as red and foggy, with a surface covered in mud. Fish appear to live on the planet, and the only plants known to grow there are a type of ivy.
