Korugar City is the capitol city on the planet Korugar. Korugar's protector was the unorthodox Green Lantern officer known as Sinestro. Sinestro used his power ring to subjugate the people of Korugar City. While professing to be acting in their best interests, Sinestro in fact became a ruthless dictator. When news of Sinestro's actions reached the ears of his superiors, the Guardians of the Universe, Sinestro was drummed out of the Green Lantern Corps. In later years, the benevolent Korugarian Katma Tui became the Green Lantern of Sector 1417 and a champion of the people. For a brief period, Salakk took responsibility for Katma's sector, though it is unknown if he ever ventured to Korugar City.
