Ajax was a Manticoran citizen and an officer of the Royal Manticoran Navy. Holding the rank of Lieutenant, he served as the commanding officer of a courier boat that brought news of Helen Zilwicki and Princess Ruth's actions in the Erewhon System back to Manticore. He was quite uncomfortable delivering bad news to Queen Elizabeth, and was happy when Honor Harrington gave him an opportunity to be dismissed. (CS1)
