Rare is a British company who used to work for Nintendo and their Donkey Kong series games, until Microsoft bought them out. They have made a major improvement to the Donkey Kong series as they added Diddy Kong and many other well known characters. They gain the rights to the Banjo-Kazooie and Conker series which Nintendo had used to gain the rights of until Rare moved to Microsoft. Rare no longer had the rights to Donkey Kong after moving. When they moved, the project of Donkey Kong Racing was cancelled, and Diddy Kong Pilot was changed to Banjo-Pilot while Donkey Kong Coconut Crackers was changed to It's Mr. Pants.
