Roast-rifles are large, handheld ray guns that are the preferred weapon of T. rex military officers and cooks. They serve a double purpose - T. rexes use them to torture prisoners during questioning while preparing them for eating later. Both Chef Sheff and Brigadier Skunch are seen wielding them. While dangerous, roast-rifles are not immediately fatal, as Iggy Tooth survives being shot by one in The T. Rex Invasion. They can also burn through rope, as Gipsy discovers when she takes one from Chef Sheff and uses it to free Iggy.
