M&M's are chocolate candies in colorful shells produced by the Mars Corporation. In the 2011 Smurfs movie, Grouchy Smurf lands in a dish of similar candies, which he initially refers to as "Smurf droppings" due to their blue shells, and ends up having a candid conversation with a green M&M plush that he has a crush with in the FAO Schwarz toy store. At the end of the movie during the credits, Grouchy is seen having a romantic cart ride with a Smurf-made green M&M plush.
