All Sentinels of the Aqua Defense Initiative hold life tenure as a Sentinel during good behavior, unless they retire, resign or are impeached from office. All Sentinels are voted into their positions by the Hall of Sentinels, recognizing their dedication to the government as per being given the status of Sentinel. Not all Sentinels will always hold an office in the government - Lords are required to be Sentinels and at this time there are seven Sentinels in the Aqua Defense Initiative.
