They usually appear when the player steps on a switch and they often move horizontally. The player must use them to reach the other side of the pit. At one point in the level, when Crash steps on a switch, they come out of the wall towards him. When Crash steps off of the switch, the platforms slowly glide back into the wall. Crash must stand on the switch and allow the platforms to move out, and then jump across them as they glide back towards the wall before they are gone.
