Darth Vader, born Anakin Skywalker, was a fallen Jedi turned Sith Lord from Tatooine. He joined the Jedi Order at the age of nine and was renowned by the galaxy as a hero during the Clone Wars, at the end of which he turned to the Dark Side. Anakin, now known as Darth Vader, led the 501st Legion against the Jedi Order when he attacked the Jedi Temple. He then traveled to Mustafar, where he killed the leaders of the Separatists. Soon after this, he dueled his old master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and lost. He was horribly disfigured and had to be put into a life support suit to survive. This gave him a frightening visage, which he used to great effect. One year later, Vader led the Imperial Forces during an invasion of Kashyyyk.
