Lambton Quay is at the southern tip of North Zealand on Spinoza Strait, the passage that separates the North and South Islands. On a clear day the snowcapped Smith Ranges are visible to the south across the strait. To the north stretch the golden beaches of The Environs. On the east, the Orange Ridge divides Lambton Quay from the broad plains of the North Zealand agricultural regions.
