Lexi Ordina, born Alex Jakien, was a female Twi'lek smuggler who lived during the Cold War and the Galactic War that followed. A transgender woman, Lexi was born male, but always felt uncomfortable and mismatched and generally unhappy with herself, leading to her eventual decision to go through sex reassignment surgery at the age of eighteen. Unfortunately, the doctor performing the multi-stage process on Ord Mantell was kidnapped by Separatists, forcing Lexi to buy a blaster and pursue the kidnappers with no combat experience at all.
