When naked photographs turned up of murdered beauty pageant contestant Amber Middleberry, the timeline indicated that they were from the period when she was working with Dax. Dax, however, stated that he wouldn't take such "mediocre" pictures, and told Ryan and Esposito about the boyfriend, Jeremy, who accompanied Amber to his studio and, as an amateur shutterbug, tried to tell him how to do his job. Dax's alibi checked out, and he faded into the wings.
