The LV-LK Basilisk Raptor Droid was developed by the Mandalorians during the Galaxian War. The droid was based on the ancient Basilisk war droid and Crab droids only this was smaller, faster and far more armed.Developed also by the Ssi Ruuk ,though the original schematics were made by the Geonosians, who used their entechment technology to arm the droid with the wild instincts of a Ssi-Ruuk. The process for the creation was simple. Fallen Ssi-Ruuk warriors were put to the entechment before they died and their life force powered the droid. The droids appearance resembled their original creators. These proved to be valuable for battle. This was the first of weaponry that the Mandalorians would later spawn in battle.
