Kent was a planet, the fourth planet in orbit of the star Alpha Centauri B located in the Alpha Centauri system, in the space of the galaxy's Beta Quadrant. Kent was destroyed in the year 2285 after Alpha Centauri B was prematurely aged by time waves from the Guardian of Forever. Martha Hardesty was coordinator for planetary defense at the time. 184 people were killed when Kent was destroyed, having refused to evacuate. (TOS - The Yesterday Saga novel: Time for Yesterday)
