In 1996, Lavender Brown sent her boyfriend, Ron Weasley a necklace for a Christmas gift. It was a thick gold chain, with large gold letters spelling "my sweetheart." Ron was horrified when he received it, astonished and appalled that Lavender could think he would ever like such an item.
