In 1903 PD, she held the rank of Commodore, and she served as the senior division commander in Battlecruiser Squadron 15, with HMS Achilles serving as her flagship. In 1904 PD, she was transferred to the newly formed Battlecruiser Squadron 5's second division on Hancock Station. In 1905 PD, she used her experience with a former Fifteenth squadmate, the HMS Cassandra, to defeat the rest of the squadron during a gunnery exercise.
