Farragut, known as Far Climber among his own kind, was a Sphinxian treecat of the Bright Water Clan. Named by Honor Harrington, he was among those who migrated to Grayson. Once in Harrington Steading, he bonded with Miranda LaFollet, becoming the first treecat to adopt a Grayson citizen. (HH7) Farragut, along with Miranda, was among those who died on Sphinx as a result of the debris that hit the planet in and around Yawata Crossing after the destruction of HMSS Vulcan during Operation Oyster Bay.
