Casualties was first published as a part of the Dark Horse Digital Retailer Exclusive program on July 2011, available only in the digital format. It was later collected in print as part of the trade paperback B.P.R.D.: Being Human. This story marks the first appearance of Agent Vaughn who would later be the central character in The Pickens County Horror.
