Sol (たいよう Taiyou, lit. Sun) is a recurring weapon in the series, first appearing as a Lance in Fire Emblem Gaiden, before later manifesting in both TearRing Saga: Utna Heroes Saga and Fire Emblem Awakening as a Sword. Functioning as the most daunting Lance in Gaiden, Sol is only partially overshadowed by the Gradivus, that which possesses more range. Mogalls have a low chance to drop the lance. It restores the user's HP by 5 points every turn. The ☆Canaan Lance that hails from TearRing Saga: Utna Heroes Saga appears to have been fashioned after the Sol lance from Gaiden.
