Achilles was a Sphinxian treecat. He was one of the kittens in Nimitz and Samantha's first "litter". He and his siblings (Andromeda, Cassandra, and Jason) were the first treecat kittens ever to live with humans right from birth, as well as the first 'kittens ever to leave Sphinx. Honor Harrington named him shortly after birth, likely for the Greek hero of the Trojan War, and principle hero of Homer's Iliad. (HH7)
