Daniel is considered to be the future of the Grayson family. As such, Conrad wants Daniel to be his successor at Grayson Global, but Daniel has always had an interest in following his own path. Though Daniel wanted to be a poet, Conrad didn't approve. He also stopped Daniel from testifying against a rich kid, who assaulted a young girl.
