The Indian Ministry of Magic is the governing body of the Wizarding world in India. Like other Asian Ministries, they view the game of Quidditch with suspicion since they have a flourishing trade in flying carpets, and the broomstick is a rarity in the East. One known law upheld by the Indian Ministry is the prohibition of using the Snake Summons Spell by wizards known as Snake Charmers, who use it to profit from Muggles. This is presumably because of the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy.
