During the Galactic Civil War, two Rebel Alliance Gamma-class ATR-6 assault transports from flight group Thunder attacked Station NL-1 during the Battle on the Frontier. Transports Thunder entered the battle as part of the first wave in the final confrontation of the Rebel, Pakuuni conspirators and then Vice Admiral Thrawn's Task force consisting of Nebulon-B2 frigate Ludwick, Platform NL-1, 2 System Patrol Craft, and various starfighters. After intense dogfighting Imperial starfighters along with NL-1 destroyed Transports Thunder and their Rebel comrades.
