The DAD/M Ion Weapon, fully known as the Designated Anti-Droid/Mechanical Weapon, was the anti-mechanical ion-based configuration of the Advanced IMFW System. It was the most time-consuming variant of the Advanced IMFW System to retool, requiring up to half an hour in the field to construct. All the other weapon variants operated on a laser system, so therefore phase induction components were required to facilitate the reconfiguration of the DAD/M Ion Weapon to fit the ionic emission frequencies of its bolts.
