Kurebayashi was a graduate of Mamoru's school, and the two knew each other. His occupation is a botanist with his lifework being on the study of roses. He is married and has six children, three girls and three boys, with another one on the way. As he mentioned, almost every variety of rose is planted in his green house, and he also had a section for tropical plants. Kurebayashi's love for plants and caring for them is very strong.
