The New Democratic Party of Canada is Canada's main social democratic party with associations to the United Church of Canada, the Canadian Labour Congress, and the now defunct Co-operative Commonwealth Federation. It is currently lead by Sam Seaborne. It contests seats at the federal level and currently holds 26 of the 282 federal seats. The NDP has provincial branches that also contest elections in every province in Canada, while also forming government in Saskatchewan.
