The Gatehouse, also called the Warrior's Cottage, is an exterior part of Redwall Abbey. It is here where the Recorder and Historian of Redwall generally resides. The Gatehouse resident is also in charge of opening and closing Redwall's gate. For a brief time, the family of Matthias resided in the Gatehouse.
