Gerald W. Abrams (sometimes credited as Gerry Abrams) is an American television producer and the father of J.J. Abrams. He runs his own company, Cypress Point Productions, since 1978. When his son directed Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, Gerald Abrams cameoed in the movie as General Cypress, a Resistance officer.
