Kenichi is the owner of Yamato's brother Hayate. Kenichi trained his dog to participates in dog fighting competitions. Kenichi, Hayate and Kenichi's father lived in a cottage in the woods and obtain their living by hunting wild animals, before Ryo Fujiwara and Yamato found them. After some time Kenichi and Hayate became friends with Yamato and Ryo.
