Drudgeworth is a prisoner in Castle Britannia. The Avatar found him in a cell in the basement in Ultima V, and Drudgeworth said the hero was the first person he'd seen in months. When asked about his sentence, he never really said exactly what had happened, but went on about how Chuckles was responsible for his imprisonment, that he hadn't killed "her" (whose identity got never revealed), and it wasn't his fault, claiming that he could show the Avatar where "it" was hidden if the hero released him.
