Masakado is the Infernal Scarlet Samurai and lieutenant to the Greater Fiend Doku. He is encountered by Ryu while crossing the bridge leading to the Clan Leader's residence during the initial attack on the Hayabusa Village. He is fought as a boss in Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden Black, Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus.
