Doctor Weld Ram was a 24th century Bajoran scientist. In 2370, he worked with Doctor Mora Pol, Constable Odo, and Starfleet Lieutenant Jadzia Dax on a scientific mission to the planet L-S VI in an effort to locate a shapeshifter lifeform that might enable them to understand Odo's origin. While on the planet, Weld and the team received minor injuries when they inhaled some volcanic gas during an extreme seismic event. He was later treated by Doctor Julian Bashir on Deep Space 9 and made a full recovery. (DS9: "The Alternate")
