Headquartered in Los Angeles, California, Krypton Radio is formatted like a traditional radio station, with music, live DJ's, talk shows, old time radio dramas and other features. Unlike other radio stations, it also produces some of its own shows. The station was founded in 2009 as an informal source of background music for online gaming, but by 2011 its founders realized that there weren't many, if any, other radio stations in the world like Krypton Radio, so they turned it into a business. Within a year they had over 5,000 fans on Facebook.
