Judge Alvarez has worked as a street judge for the Mega City One Justice Department for countless years. He became dissilusioned with the city and justce system leading him to become a corrupt judge who works as a covert mercenary. Throughout the film, Ma-Ma hires him, Lex, Chan and Kaplan to execute judges Dredd and Anderson. Their cover was blown when Chan attacks and is killed by Dredd. The title character then executed Alvarez with his last round of ammunition.
