Lauren Barlow is the daughter of former President Emily Gibbons. Although she had no specific political experience herself, she ran for Governor of Puerto Pacis and was easily elected in 2066 in the traditionally Nationalist-leaning province. In 2065, Barlow won a special election to determine the new governor of Newport following the consolidation of Puerto Pacis and Hyannis into Newport. In 2080, Barlow ran for President. She came in a distant third place against incumbent president Charlotte Laurent and Communist party candidate Diego Salamanca.
