Mujer Fuerte (spanish for "Strong Woman") was a South American superhero, one of the leaders of the Los Conquistadores superhero team, who had a tragic end. Mujer Fuerte was in fact intersexed, but posed as a woman. She tried to "fix" her body by means of magic, becoming completely female. Unfortunately, she also went insane and her powers were tremendously increased, going "Dark Phoenix" on her team and destroying a large area near Rio de Janeiro. It took all of Los Conquistadores, with help from the Brazilian army, two full dropships of the Knights of Purity and two major supervillains (long-time enemies of her, who took the opportunity to kill her legally) to put her down.
