rdfs:comment
  • Plague Rat is a powered up version of Berserk Mouse from the Forest. They are immune to poison and have a high speed, which allows them to evade attacks and escape from battle. They are lurking in the Shrine of Shirley. Plague Rats' main attack is to bite the party which deals small amount of damage. They can also use their special attack, Chisel, which they transmit their tiny little pink-coloured "plague" particles to a party member and cause Arm Blocking on him/her.
  • Plague Rats are in Demon's Souls.
  • Plague Rats are a type of monster in Loonyland 2: Winter Woods. They appear relatively early in the game and are found in caves and outside areas alike.
  • By dipping Giant Rats into their burbling cauldrons, they infuse them with foul Warpstone-laced wickedness. The rats develop a ravenous appetite, reproduce at a horrific rate, and are vectors for a suitably nasty plague. Plague Rats are thankfully rare, and once a food source is exhausted, they turn on each other until none remain. Plague Rats look like large rats with patchy brown fur and diseased skin. Their snouts drip orange filth continuously, spilling contagion wherever they go. Worse, most of these creatures suffer from the ravages of the disease they carry, and so are missing legs, paws, half of their heads, and more. Too many can recall seeing one of these sad creatures pulling its rotten hindquarters forward to make a meal of itself.[1a]

Intro
  • Plague Rats have almost no interest in fighting, instead, they are interested in picking up any loot that might be laying around. They are tougher, more aggressive, and more dangerous version of the Rat Thieves.

Strategy
  • Plague Rats crawl around on all fours very quickly and in rather erratic pattern, making them very tricky targets to hit. They will only stop briefly to pick up the loot, making themselves vulnerable to incoming fire. If adventurers get close enough, Plague Rats will slash at them with acid soaked claws causing corrosive damage upon successful hits.
