  • Queensbury Court is a 13 storey tower block on Wardle Street in Miles Platting, Manchester. It is 38.4 metres tall. Saturday, February 3rd 1996, a gas explosion on the 11th floor occurred blowing out an entire wall. There were fears that this could've been another Ronan Point tragedy in the making had the brick building not been as well built as it was. It remains occupied to this day.
